=___=

Woke up late today... rushed through the morning stuff and made it in time for only two presentations.

So we've lost another CSer along the way, and there are many theories and predictions why... For me I'll take some of the blame - we've been together for almost 2 years but I've never even set foot in his room. Honestly it should be easier since his friends are those who were my old classmates! Maybe this 'lack of companionship of the same programme' partly or fully caused him to move away despite what people have said about him, and I take much of the blame for that.

Well, guess we'll just wish him luck for the future.

There are 4 teams fighting for just one safe spot in the Premiership in the relegation battle, and sadly I really like two of them - West Brom and Portsmouth.

My allegiance with Pompey stretches back to when first-choice Japanese goalkeeper and captain Yoshikatsu Kawaguchi signed for them in 2000. The manager then was Graham Rix and the squad was just another side in the old Championship - but when Rix left and Harry Redknapp came, the side looked real powerful. They won the Championship in 2002, with Kawaguchi playing the last game of the season (first choice was Shaka Hislop) . He went on to get unused sub appearances in the Premiership before moving to Denmark.

But Redknapp has always been known to buy good players that were untried in England. Unique players come and go, and this is the reason why I really like Pompey. If you look at the lineup of the current season and you can see Emmanuel Olisadebe, Benjani Mwaruwari, Azar Karadas, D'Allesandro, etc... Not to mention some of the old names, I've always liked Todorov ever since Harry brought him to West Ham.

West Brom, I just like them because they have Junichi Inamoto obviously. He's a player I likened myself to when I play - I remember myself being called Inamoto when I played in an Arsenal shirt (he was there back then) and his Fulham days are really glorious. I mean, who can ever forget that left-foot flying volley against Man U.

I'm resigned to lose one of them this season. Now I just hope Birmingham lose all their matches from now on.

The greatest compliment

Mom: The greatest moment in my life is when you went up to be an imam.
Me: But... I've been doing that for years...
Mom: Well I don't believe it until I see it.

...I'm just speechless. Allah only knows what I feel about this.

Football paragraph again, now in small text. To some people, Mourinho is very despicable. The Chelsea manager has in recent weeks been accused of instigating dishonest ploys, actions and tactics to his players. I am of the opinion that although he's been using them ever since he became a coach (take how he managed Porto in their UEFA Cup-winning season) he had only widely used it after that clash with Barca (first leg). (Even though the playacting of Robben against Liverpool was before that match, that was more down to personal judgement by the individual player) His interview after that game showed a gutted, devastated and more fittingly disgusted man, because the player everyone is touting as the 'new Maradona' cheated Del Horno and subsequently him and Chelsea. Face it - Maradona was great, but he was also a great cheat on and off the field with the unpaid taxes, drugs and the Hand of God, and seems like Lionel Messi would have the same ideology. I now see him in another light after what he did. Distraught by how such a young man knocked Chelsea out of the trophy he longs, Mourinho went ballistic and for the next games until now his players have acted in a way that is against the spirit of fair play football. Chelsea want to win more, not just the title now. They'll do everything they can to. I can only feel sympathy with their opponents, because if their recent form won't blow them apart in a football sense, their temperamental backhanded actions will.

Well, next week will be Ganbare Guri-Wan week (which translates to "Do your best, G-1") in which I try and work my socks off with all my projects. Wish me luck.

I'm screwed

I'm talking 'bout L O L O L O L O L I, L O L O L O L O L I

... apakan.

Anyway, here's the football paragraph again skip if you don't like. Newcastle is the subject this post. Shearer will retire with only one winners' medal (Premiership with Blackburn) and a few runners-up medals in two FA Cup finals with Newcastle. Such a pity for a great player who has graced the top levels of Europe. Anyway, N'Zogbia has been a great revelation in the team, and a potential France international. He's keeping out Albert Luque from the team on the left (I prefer Luque and would put N'Zogbia on left back; my ideal current Newcastle lineup is 4-4-2 winged-attack with Given-Carr-Boumsong-Taylor-N'Zogbia-Solano-Emre-Parker-Luque-Owen-Shearer) but injuries have really blighted the team ever since Day 1 of this season. I was excited with the capture of Emre and likewise Luque but when they got Owen, I felt it was kinda superficial, especially when the chairman have spilled a huge lot of cash for all of these players and it feels like another Leeds will happen in a few years' time. I have a bit of a Newcastle fanatism since back in the days of David Batty and hope they are moving in the right direction.

I'm sure the events at PGGMB (Pengurat Gatal-Gatal Mihir Bandar) have been covered by my fellow bloggers, and I apologise for not doing the 'sensible' thing back then. But anyway, lesson learned, stay away from weird places where the name suggests it's an office for lanky bearded government workers, its shopping complex looks very kapih, its food court has unknown eatery chains where the waiters are so desperate to show you their menu and take your order before you even decided and you see a few sweaty middle-aged scary-faced men around who are prepared to touch you on the butt.

Go to Seria. Its men are much much nicer.

hm?

=_= Maghrib prayers yesterday was the first time I became an Imam in a few years (because my uncle's family was late from KB) - before that I have done so in the PJN hostel a good number of times, and for those who knew me in Lumut and SOAS Ugama school in KB, I do the job more than often at ugama school.

I nearly forgot a verse in Ad-Dhuhaa, my voice was shaky and I went too fast. Enjoyed reading the wirid out loud though. But damn, don't want to go through that kind of pressure again. I only lead prayers of fellow kids and teens, dammit.

kk enough showboating, diri tu nda jua berapa alim eh. Woke up at 3 to watch Liverpool trash the Brum 7-0. Skip reading this paragraph if you're not a footie fan. Birmingham will go down this season and I point the finger to many faces of its problems. Injury have blighted such important figures in the team none more so than out-for-the-season Tunisian first-choice defensive midfielder Mehdi Nafti (signed last season from errr same team as Yossi Benayoun's old team but can't remember). I don't think David Dunn is real good, the old Birmingham with Dugarry, Aliou Cisse and Savage was more formidable, and lastly they shouldn't have sold Pandiani. Okay, they thought Sutton would do the job better (and he dd before his injury) but Bruce just loves to friggin wait for Forssell to peak, and for Heskey who has a poor return for a striker. Ex-Turkish international Mustafa Izzet is getting old and his best days were back at Leicester. The only good thing about the Brum these days is Pennant and he's himself a convict. Thus I can't see them even get back up next season.

Okay I'm done. I'm going home early today, which means no karaoke at ETC G0.6, and go to sleep. There's always gonna be the long tahlil nights from this week onwards...

asa ga kuru

Well I just want to say thank you to all of you and your prayers and thoughts. Hopefully things will resume as normal for me and the rest of my family.

In other news, I actually forgot to bring my silver file from home on Sunday when I went back to hostel. I could've been screwed for that...

Mom's halfway from photocopying my elder sis' CO2207 project report. Hope she had put a bookmark >_>;

Just one class today so went from Lumut today, but my mom picked me back a bit late.

Lately I've been under the weather a bit, but hopefully the flu will clear up soon.

Well I need to sleep now...

Adoi

=_= cis, barutah ada peluang kan update.

I've been having sleepless nights again. Lots of things to think about, from friends, my ex, my online friends, football, projects, etc.. Predictably, it's troubling my daytime activities and even today I feel so sleepy I wish I could just drop down and doze off.

Another reason is the sudden appearance of a full-grown, adult ROOSTER around M2. IT CROWS AT 3AM. I know it's been around since the start of the semester, but nowadays it's real close to the block entrance. Hey, this morning I found it INSIDE the block... >_>; thank god our wing is "air-conditioned" (just close the side entrance doors and open the common room door and you get cool). But eh, it's harmless, but weird. Unless it starts kicking people with its taji.

zzzzzz where was I?

2006年3月5日日曜日

Okay that was a fairly-unproductive holiday. Didn't go anywhere or anyplace except my bro's Form 6 entry.

Something I noticed

The way Malaysians do it, one which is very strange to me, is that they use x for 'tak' in SMSes.

I originally thought it was funny until my bro (who's really as social as you can get so thus knws these things) told me that us Bruneians do it one better...

"(bla bla) x ah"

YES, the X in Brunei is for the word "KALI"... ROFLMAO.
