BruStu? Brewed Stew?

I don't wanna join either Friendster or BruStu. :/

It's the hallmark of Bruneian online stupidity, really. Take for instance, last 2 years there was an article posted by a very satirical newspaper about the suicide of WIlliam Hung. NOBODY took it seriously except for a few people in BruStu. While proving to my mom and sister that the news is fake, I googled it and stumbled across BruStu; so that means I know that site for a long time already.

Freindster? Meh. A lot of asians have it. It's another of those "community-bastard" sites that's really popping up in large numbers and spamming my local email with invitations. I don't wanna go, so no. Stop spamming me dammit.

No offense to those who are in them, but... I have too many places to go I guess.

I don't think I can be really healthy =_= at least for a few weeks or so.

Gotta shell out a few more bucks for a new hard disk drive :/ I really need it for my anime H music coursework...

The holiday comes and goes, ah well. Now I just have to wait a few more months and it's winter break \o/ except then I have to do driving lessons /o\

My laptop ish busted.

I already formatted it but it seems like it's all rotten. I'll try again with UBCD (hope I didn't delete the ISO in the PC) but if that doesn't work too, I'll have to change the hard disk.

...well, for the UBDians who are watching this at least :x school term break has just finished, and my sis will go back to Glasgow on Wednesday.

So... happy holidays, even if it's just a week long or if we're probably revising or doing our work instead of relaxing.

=___= and as usual, whenever I have a midweek holiday, there';s no European soccer matches. geez.

I slept at Tuesday night at 9pm, and woke up at 4pm yesterday, not counting a few minutes of conscience. WTH? Was I really that tired, or was that "compensation day"?

The mobile wars are brewing, and predictably, DST's badmouthing b-mobile. :x ah, the Malay Business Rule No.1, that is if you lose, you take down the rival with you. Fantastic race I'm born in.

Kinda wonder how did Malays live in the hostile environment in the old days. Kalau kelahi pasal siapa dapat panjat pokok paling laju ambil kelapa tantu yang kalah tu tarik yang manang tu sama sama turun bawah mati. Kalau siapa kalah berladang tu tantu ditununya sawah orang yang maju padinya.

I forgot that Dr Mahmud's practical report is due today =______= it's already written but it's on my pendrive and this computer's USB is broken. So this means I haven't submitted anything to Dr Mahmud all half-semester. Now the lecturers would be real confused - is Guri-Wan the lazy-ass student that never submits his work, as Mr. Chong and Dr. Jaidi have said, or has he changed his ways, according to Lim SG?!?!?! Time will tell.

And I haven't slept. What a way to start the week. The test week.

LOL seems like nobody evicted the stalls yet today :x

Last week of class before holidays \o/ although... next week my sis will leave for Scotland. so for the second half of this semester, I can only be at home on late Saturdays, and go back to hostel on Sunday afternoon. ~_~

I really hope I can set up this karaoke club thingy - I know I'm not that popular but I just want it to happen.

Rawr I hope I can fix my laptop... 3 weeks of no downloading has really made me feel kinda empty.

In which I stuff my belly with the loads of food at the stalls and lounge around the BJFA booth.

Mmm... apart from me getting a bad sore throat due to too much voice impersonations and trying to cope with the greatload of work that is gonna be upcoming next week before the holidays, there's really nothing to report.

I tried to post my sauce ambuyat up to PuLU but can't. Mastermind said that he'll be exporting it outside so I can't wait :x

Pool

My dad's family are snooker and pool players - they all had a snooker set in my grandparents' house.

So would it be natural for me to inherit my dad's talents? I can't say for myself. I did thought pool was never my game - until one day when I had to participate in a tournament my father hosted.

I defeated my cousin in 2 frames - and narrowly lost to another (who had been playing regularly) by sinking the cue along with the 9 on the tiebreaker.

Pool is all about angles, and the right stroking technique. Whenever I can't hit the ball directly, I do what most casual players do - wrok out an angle and pray for luck and hit it hard in that direction and see if the ball hits, and knocks over a few more balls and some of them may go in.

But I once had a technique called BKM (Bang Kalok Masuk) in which I hit the ball in plain sight directly so that it hits a lot of balls and just wish one would get in.

Nevertheless I ditched that technique already and replaced it with accuracy shots. It's what makes pool intriguing anyway.

So yea, anyone out there want to play me I can treat you out for a game, but you provide the transport.

GW will soon become a BJFAUBD member! Now this quite-growing association will have such a kickass member, albeit GW's expertise in Japanese stuff such as anime and its music.

On a different note, he has succumbed to a throat infection, and was bed-ridden all night. His condition is getting worse, it is earmarked that he will miss Saturday's classes. In a statement in his O.K., Bah! blog in Blogger.com, he expressed his apologies to his fellow OGM companions for his brief disappearance.
