So last week was really hectic, the first of my cousins from my mother's side got married. I did a few things here and there, it was a really wet day with all the rain and in the end I just can't get myself to keep awake. The food was okay, like most of these events, but really it was tiresome and boring to an extent... mmm
I really should have took crazy poses around the pelamin. Among other things I thought of was like, the appearance of Wedding Peach, the brief superhero-pairing of me and Armadillah from Pre-U Science 1/2 series to save the wedding from disaster, and one scene of Aqil sulking on the staircase that made me think, had I taken out a canvas and drew it, I could sell it for 10 grand for expressionism art. On the rear side of that, I now realise why people never bother to consult me whenever -I- sulked when I was a few years younger, and they most probably ridiculed me when they happened too. Ask Zair. She was the only one who cared back then, I felt sometimes.
Heard mom's dikir troupe in action too, not under a competition this time. They sound a lot better than last time. Which also made me think, when I become rich one day, I'll search the best young female vocals in Brunei and turn them into a powerful dikir supergroup of sorts. All of this in search of that one elusive voice I heard that afternoon. That wonderful afternoon when Safoora serenaded me to her rendition of Salla'alaikallah. ...
Congratulations to the newlyweds. Actually I don't know if I'm ever gonna have something like today. It's tough to die lonely and with no children but these days, even when you say it's all in His hands, you just know, by a glance, some poor people don't have a whimper of a hope of getting
laid, much less getting hitched.
