Excited

Oh I am so excited at the prospects of this house~

First off, it's going to be my birthday, and so I'm going to be quite demanding this year D: because I never did. I know Raya spending comes first but... D:

Linux Mint is what I'm trying for the oldass JIS comp (predictable in the colour aspect, no? orz), and not Zenwalk because it looks tacky and the CD wasn't burnt properly orz but if this works, you'll see me 1. install a Linux Mint at the Unix Lab and 2. paste a GNU/Linux User poster on my G-1 briefcase.

I've cleaned my room (most...) (okay not my room, just the place where I sleep at home) and a part downstairs, so now the rest is up to the others if they want to pack up for Raya.

~_~ it's always the case like last holiday that the last few days of it is spent like, outside, and you actually want to spend them at home finishing some work or that game you want to beat etc... sigh.

A breather

Although it would've been nice if it was nearer to Raya... mmm...

Anyway. This semester break, outside uni work I'm planning to

1. Clean "my room" (not technically mine) because come near Raya there'll be lots of stuff downstairs that will be stashed in it
2. Install Zenwalk on that oldass JIS comp my imouto don't seem to use anymore (and instead uses my old laptop)
3. Go out to sungkai with some of you I lost my driver, he's off this Tuesday.

...just some more days to go mm...

In some anime news...

So, the last ep of School Days was cut off the air in Japan because some nasty RL yandere killed her dad (it was a forgone conclusion that SD's anime ending will have a similar scenario to the infamous bad endings in the game). To replace that, Kanagawa TV (the station where SD first plays) showed some generic footage you often see in NHK - some castles and a boat sailing along a lake.

In a rare event, but not the first time, in cross-cultural history 2chan picked up a 4chan comment of "nice boat" when a screencap of the footage was uploaded. From now on, "Nice boat" is a catchphrase which means "chaos" or "disorder" and the haphazard covering of it.

Example (featuring the Guriwan Sherwan connection!) :-

Sherwan: We're not gonna finish Dr. Brown's project work in time! Let's half-ass it.
Guriwan: Nice boat, partner.

Dad bought a nice new Nissan Cefiro. Very comfy car... I'd fall asleep easily in it.

Went back from OGDC this afternoon, just said "to hell with work" and slept. Under this kind of health I'm in no mood to use my brain - as happy as I was in starting to use it again, there are some thought channels that are also clogged as well as respiration when you have a cold.

Just one more outing to go at least. Then some of you all will leave me. It's been great but I need to start looking to the future and meet what is gonna come ahead.

Argh stupid flu, stop blocking everything.
