Guri-Wan Machine

Next year I'll be saving my money to build my own computer. I'll be buying the parts I want for myself, one at a time. I already got my graphics card (my dad bought it for me in KL, really glad because the same thing's 1.5 times more expensive in Brunei) and next is this gorgeous mobo.

I haven't given it a name. I'll probably name it after I finished building it... Oh if you were asking, my Linux desktop is called Ayane, my XP laptop is called Chikuwa. The old one my lil sister's currently using is Taiyaki. I name all of my external HDDs from food.

This computer's gonna make me save my money and diet. You may think I failed it because I went on with my old habits after recording a 65 in June, but I'm still lighter than I was at this time last year.

Anyway, take care and have a joyful holiday. Expect something really nice in this blog before the year's end.

Post-exam wind-down

So what has happened after G-1 tasted freedom at the end? Well, nothing much, because I'm muchly on the PS3, editing Winning Eleven 2008. Oh gawd. This is what you call "edit hell", thankfully there's not a lot to edit, but still the lack of features against WE10 makes it actually riveting to. Unless of course, I unlock some more features as I go by.

WE2008 is also accompanied by Guitar Hero III. The Guitar Hero series is getting hot in Brunei, most real guitar players say it's a cheap and lame way of playing but hey, do dancers criticise DDR much?

Enough talk, I need sleep. *yawn*

Nightmare

So I'm halfway through what to me is the worst week I've ever had. Nothing good came along, I was blank here and there, pissed my sis off a couple of times, the exams didn't go smoothly, and today it culminates into the summoning by Dr. Bukhari who wanted my ass all semester for my coursework.

It's not the first time I'm given this kind of death threat. But it proves that while my Code Geass notebook made me remember what to do, it is definitely not a cure for my laziness. I stand ashamed as the most notorious student in my "hardworking" intake (based on my sis' analogy that odd-number intakes are lazy and even-number intakes aren't) despite having probably one of the most open minds.

Anyway, I just hope that the good that's gonna come will even out the bad. Hopefully my adapter will get fixed from Netcom and I can run my laptop again, and then I could revise and work properly again. I'll clear out the air with Bukhari tomorrow, make way for a nice revision for the next two exams, then freedom.

Of course, there's every reason to be pessimistic, considering what I've been through. There's something real nice about being a negative person: you won't be that disappointed or aggrieved when things don't come your way. And a sucky, negative guy like you will often get those.
